Orad and MUV provide interactive capabilities for any surface

An interactive device placed on the presenter's finger turns any surface into an interactive screen to speed up the display of live graphics or analysis in the studio.

Run has combined its expertise with interactive solutions provider MUV to offer an interactive device that sits on the presenter's finger and turns any surface into an interactive screen. Ideal for studio environments, it allows the presenter to stand anywhere and, through the interactive device, rotate, size, move, drag and highlight graphics on any surface.

MUV's tracking technology, which we can see at the Orad stand at IBC 2014, is capable of identifying the direction in which the presenter is pointing, in addition to identifying which surfaces are relevant and how much pressure they are exerting, etc. Data from the MUV device, called Bird, is transmitted to Orad's interact system, which displays corresponding graphics on the surface. For example, the presenter can drag any image to any of the studio walls or highlight a certain object on the video wall.

Avi Sharir, CEO and president of Orad, highlighted that "this innovative solution opens the doors to broadcasters interested in converting any type of surface into an interactive surface. What's more, as the sensors are located on the presenter's finger, he can be placed anywhere in the studio, instead of having to stand in front of the interactive screen itself."
