Orad will combine server and graphics with PlayMaker Combox in an integrated solution

PlayMaker Combox merges the PlayMaker 8-channel sports streaming server with a complete graphics solution based on the Orad graphics platform, all in a single compact 3U chassis.

PlayMaker Combox's powerful graphics engine can be used for different purposes while providing a unique set of benefits. PlayMaker Combox offers real-time graphic transitions for highlights and rich video effects, creating visually appealing highlight packages that until today could only be achieved in a post-production environment. In addition, PlayMaker Combox provides a Windows graphical user interface for the graphics operator to control all live graphics during the match, including pre-game graphics, clock and scores… The graphics controller can be tailored for each specific sporting event using the Orad Engine Framework, and allows easy integration with the statistics collection system and other databases.

Also new at NAB will be Orad's Pivot, a Windows-based production assistant application that further enhances the PlayMaker production workflow. With its intuitive, drag-and-drop graphical interface, Pivot can be used by any member of the production team. Pivot provides the ability to create and edit highlight playlists, tag and search clips by keywords, playout clips and playlists on multiple outputs, and management tools for multiple servers across the network.

The operator can use the PlayMaker and Pivot controller in parallel, as well as via extended screen and drag-and-drop operation to streamline operation.
