Orad MVP enriches the graphics in the SNY
For this 2010 season, the official television of the New York Mets, Jets, Eastern Conference, and leader in New York in local sports news coverage, becomes the first regional broadcaster to implement Orad's MVP solution for live MLB broadcasts.
SNY, official television of the New York Mets, Jets, EASTERN Conference, and New York's leader in local sports news coverage, has been using the latest version of Orad's MVP solution for live coverage of the New York Mets broadcast season this season. Orad's MVP system for sports enrichment provides this broadcaster with near real-time enrichment capabilities, making it ideal for live television productions.
Avi Sharir, president and CEO of Orad Hi-Tec Systems, said: "SNY continues to recognize the value of MVP for its viewers, advertisers and sponsors. Our latest evolution of MVP provides increasingly captivating visual effects, an enhanced set of creative tools to enrich live sports productions, and a much faster workflow. This gives SNY the ability to offer broadcasters and viewers the highest level of live graphics for this season's Mets coverage, as well as a competitive over other broadcasters in the region.”
The MVP graphics platform, compatible with SD and HD, is based on image tracking instead of expensive and complex camera modifications, making both start-up and operation simple. Using a simple interface, any object or play can be tracked and improved, making it easier for Mets fans to watch the game at home, and understand and analyze crucial plays.
With the latest version of MVP, SNY can continue to use the same features as the previous season such as camera freeze and speed and distance tracking, as well as new, faster and easier to operate graphics. Additionally, the updated MVP platform offers a new graphics library, providing ready-made graphics as well as quick retrieval of any graphics created by the SNY production team.
Offering extensive coverage of the New York Mets, SNY conducts more than 120 live broadcasts, all produced in HD, and provides nearly 250 hours of New York Mets coverage annually.
