Bainet optimizes its audiovisual management with Unitecnic and Sgi

The Basque communications group entrusts Unitecnic with the integration by Unitecnic of an audiovisual content management system for its global archive.

The Bainet Group, a Basque conglomerate of companies dedicated to television and film production, Internet and new technologies, has implemented, with the collaboration of the systems integrator Unitecnic, an audiovisual content management system for the production company's global archive with Silicon Graphics equipment.

The installed systems are an SGI Altix XE 240, which acts as a database and Media Asset Management application server, several SGI Altix work and on a single file system within a SAN network.

This is not the first experience of collaboration between Unitecnic and Silicon Graphics since both have already carried out other projects to modernize audiovisual management systems in organizations such as La Sexta Televisión or the European University of Madrid.

Luis Garrido, Commercial Director of Digital Content Media at SGI, commented that "with this project, Sgi is positioned in the production market as a reference for audiovisual content management systems, in a production company that is also very representative of Spain. The success in its implementation and operation opens the door to new projects in this environment with the help of our partner Unitecnic."
