The main studio of Radio Ciutat Barcelona installs an Arena table, replacing the first generation BC2000 tables.

ARENA badalona 1Badalona Comunicacio, which has Televisió de Badalona (TVB) and Radio Ciutat Badalona (RCB) is a regular client of AEQ since its foundation. Its facilities included a first-generation AEQ BC2000-D analogue console in its main studio. Continuing with a renovation plan, the technical team has decided to replace this digital console with the new Arena digital mixer developed by AEQ.

The new installed console has a control surface with 25 physical faders and a blue finish. This surface also offers the possibility of 9 virtual pages, which together with the 25 physical faders, offering the future possibility through a simple update of controlling more than 120 audio I/O channels. Now the console has 24 analog inputs/outputs between stereo and mono, 8 digital inputs/outputs in AES and SPDIF format for master and auxiliary outputs, inputs for 8 microphones with the possibility of integrated phantom power, and outputs for headphones and speakers both in control and in the studio.

The installation is completed with the supply of a signaling box for the studio, working in slave mode with the Arena table in such a way that it allows journalists to control the signal cut from the studio, and enable an intercom with the technician in the control room. The unit, model AEQ SCR-03, also has five programmable buttons associated with physical GPOs, which can be used for various functions to be defined by the user. Badalona Comunicacio previously had two AEQ Eagle model audiocoders for ISDN lines and an AEQ TH02-EX digital hybrid, which have also been integrated into the Arena console serving this radio studio.
