Panasonic PT-D5000: robustness and reliability
This 5,000 lumen projector has been designed for use in educational and conference environments and for dynamic advertising applications, where ease of maintenance and reliability are key purchasing requirements.
Panasonic Corporation has announced the launch of the new PT-D5000 projector in Europe. This new range of projectors has measurable improvements over the 4000 series projectors in three main areas: image quality, configuration flexibility and easy maintenance. In line with Panasonic's environmental commitment, the PT-D5000 achieves a low level of consumption during the standby time of 0.3W, below the maximum limit of 0.5W that this type of product must reach in January 2010, imposed by the European Union.
Markus Ries, Panasonic's chief technology officer in Europe, has noted regarding the new PT-D5000 that "we are seeing a large increase in demand for the first products with 24/7 operation and Dual Lamp technology, which we launched for the first time in 2002."
Panasonic's advanced LAN control ensures system setup and management is quick, easy and flexible, accommodating the short installation times common in classrooms and seminar rooms. To counteract the lack of image detail when the projector is used in well-lit environments or in daylight, Panasonic's Daylight View 2 system improves audience perception of brightness by adjusting sharpness, gamma curves and color corrections.
Harmut Kulessa, marketing director of Panasonic Projectors, highlighted “that companies such as Vodafone, Infoscreen or Carlson Wagonlit choose Panasonic products for their dynamic signage projects highlights the versatility and technical sophistication of our range of projectors.”
