New version of IP Nextia from Verint
Verint Video Intelligence Solutions introduces improvements in user management, greater IP network access versatility and various interface options.
Verint Systems has presented the new version of its Nextiva IP video management solution. This flexible and scalable platform now offers a number of enhancements, along with robust management, to help organizations increase security and reduce operational costs.
Verint Nextiva is a complete solution that is based on open architecture for scalability, rapid deployment and ease of maintenance. The next generation version combines all the benefits of the Nextiva platform with new features designed to optimize configuration and operations and lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) in IP video management applications.
The improvements encompass advances in user management, greater IP network access versatility and various interface options with the aim of creating a flexible and adaptable solution for organizations in environments with critical infrastructure, mass transit of people and retail, as well as in business environments.
Designed to exceed any customer's security requirements, Nextiva's detailed management offers a configurable "scenario" and gives preference to certain attributes, including PTZ 'priority and closure', camera access and video playback. Combined with 'prioritized' remote user video access in bandwidth-controlled environments, organizations can deliver a sophisticated response to complex security events.
This version also helps facilitate deployment on corporate networks. To enhance protection in these IT environments, Nextiva offers secure system access via VPN and client operations behind NAT (network address translator) and enterprise firewalls, allowing organizations to host numerous remote user connections. Additionally, Nextiva helps with versatile management by automatically allocating bandwidth and defining criteria for accepting, rejecting, and giving preference to requests.
The Nextiva solution maximizes workflow by supporting all DNS and DHCP server functions, Windows authentication to centralize user management, and user access to the system with Active Directory.
