A new newsroom dedicated exclusively to the creation of “La Siete Noticias” for La Siete makes Telecinco the first operator to introduce daily news programs on the grid of one of its DTT channels.

News Telecinco is preparing to start the next television season with the new multichannel strategy outlined by the network at the news level with a view to the definitive implementation of digital terrestrial television. A new newsroom dedicated exclusively to the creation of “La Siete Noticias” for La Siete makes Telecinco the first operator to introduce daily news programs on the grid of one of its DTT channels. “La Siete Noticias” will offer two daily editions live at alternative times to the appointments already established by Informativos Telecinco on Telecinco, in order to open the viewer new windows to current events with a style adapted to the specific target of the channel.

Telecinco will also introduce changes to its news programs on the conventional channel. Starting in September, Pedro Piqueras leaves the night to spend midday with Sara Carbonero, in sports. The gap left by the director of Informativos Telecinco in the prime-time edition will be covered by two of the editorial team's great heavyweights: José Ribagorda and Marta Fernández, who will be accompanied by J.J. Saints in the time of Sports. Regarding the Weekend editions, the journalist Carme Chaparro will be in charge of its presentation alone. As for Hilario Pino, he will move on to the morning news program that brings forward his daily appointment with viewers to 8 in the morning with a renewed current affairs space with live interviews with the protagonists of politics, the economy, culture or sports.
