The search for greater quality in broadcasts, which has been a constant at the station, has led in recent months to the possibility of listening to it in HQ (High Quality) through DTT, and next November to the start of the broadcast of outstanding own productions in 5.1. This season, public radio has greater international work and deepens its collaborations with the most prominent cultural institutions.

Ana Vega Toscano, director of Radio Clásica, has opted for the renovation developed in recent months, which has turned the station into a more lively radio station that is closer to the people: “In its 46 years of life, Radio Clásica is a useful tool for Spanish culture with a complicit look towards young people.” Thus, spaces that support young talents and composers continue. Vega Toscano has also highlighted the "international vocation of the station", with participation in important international institutions (such as the European Radio and Television Union) and based on "new technologies, which make it increasingly international."

In addition to supporting young people, outreach, quality and concert coverage are other hallmarks of the chain. This was highlighted by Benigno Moreno, director of RNE, who stated that in terms of sound quality, “Radio Clásica will continue to be at the forefront, as the network that offers the best sound in Spain through its DTT channel.”

Nearby and international radio

Coverage of the main events in the country is one of the keys to being even closer to listeners, with a wide range of concerts. Radio Clásica continues to focus on being “on the street”; close to citizens; and children and young people with programs such as 'Música Joven' or 'El Rincon de los Ninos', which continue to air. The station is an active agent in Spanish cultural life and will continue to be so through new technologies that it will use even more to continue developing its public service work.

Radio Clásica has been present since its foundation in the most prominent international institutions. Thanks to its connection with the European Radio and Television Union (UER-EBU), many productions from our country can be heard beyond our borders and the station in turn offers its listeners high quality productions, reflecting the cultural events of each moment and country. Its international recognition grows with the presence on the Committee of the Euroradio Classics group. It is also expanding its presence in Latin America, thanks to an exchange of content with prominent broadcasters that continues to grow.

And all the current news will be present as always, with a prominent role from the RTVE Orchestra and Choir, which stars in a daily program, in addition to the live broadcasts of all their concerts. The station is also committed to deepening its constant collaboration with TVE and its most outstanding cultural programs.

The philosophy of Radio Clásica will be reflected starting next Monday in a more dynamic website, which offers on RTVE a la Carta podcasts of its programs, its streaming concert broadcasts and an innovative design that is closer to listeners. In your web A new section is opened, 'Music Classroom', where teaching and research programs will be brought together, establishing new collaborations with notable institutions (CNDM, ONE...). And exclusively for RTVE.ES, Archivo de Radio Clásica is presented, the archive of 'everyone's radio', which recovers the history of the station in its 46 years of existence.
