Activa Multimèdia brings its Compact TV management and archiving system to IBC'09

An online system for creating weather bulletins and applications for creating automatic programs are the main novelties.

Activa Multimèdia will show its audiovisual management and archiving system, Compact TV, in action at IBC'09. It is a solution designed to cover all the production and archiving needs of television stations or other companies that manage audiovisual material. The Catalan company will also present the latest developments in Meteorological Audiovisual Services (SAM), such as the e-Meteo remote creation bulletins, and the latest applications of the automatic publishing platform, Automatic TV: ATV Formula and ATV Promo.

Compact TV offers a wide range of possibilities for professional production, including ingest, video editing, asset management, archiving and play-out. The system allows reducing production time, increasing the quality of the content produced and optimizing the use of the file, one of its main functions. In addition, Compact TV includes tools for the contribution of video content over IP, being specially designed for television companies, news and advertising agencies, media centers or audiovisual archive and documentation centers (film libraries, libraries, cultural institutions...).

On the other hand, Activa Multimèdia presents new features in its Meteorology Audiovisual Services (SAM). Spain's leading provider of weather forecasts, SAM produces and edits content for all digital media: TV, interactive TV, mobile telephony and the Internet. It has multilingual services and a forecast database of geographical points around the world. One of the new services that will be presented at IBC is e-Meteo, an online system for generating meteorology videos that can be downloaded from the Internet, ready to broadcast.

Finally, the company will also show the new functionalities of its automatic content publishing platform, Automatic TV: ATV Formula, for the creation of automatic programs, and ATV Promo, for the simple and automated generation of a channel's self-promotion pieces and comprehensive brand management.
