SGL carries out the greatest integration of its filing system with VSNExplorer at Telson Madrid
The integration of VSNExplorer and FlashNet allows operators to send and retrieve content from the LTO library directly from the VSN MAM and BPM.
SGL, a British company specialized in media archiving and management solutions, has just installed the largest FlashNet archiving system to date at the Telson facilities in Madrid.
SGL FlashNet, integrated into Telson from the hands of VSN It has been fully integrated with your VSNExplorer MAM and BPM system. The combination of SGL and VSN technology has provided Telson with a full MAM with high integration with archiving functions, which will allow it to launch the distribution of new Turner International channels in Spain.
SGL FlashNet provides VSNExplorer file elements, giving clients of the FlashNet solution specific commands from the control system. The integration of the two systems allows operators at Telson Madrid to send and retrieve material that has already been processed from a robotic LTO library.
Telson's new workflow allows material ingestion, quality checking and sending to the VSN MAM system along with the metadata provided by Turner International. The material is then previewed and sent to the LTO library via SGL FlashNet. One of the main benefits for Telson is that users have access to all the material and its metadata, in the same place and at the same time.
VSNExplorer acts as a central hub for information from various sources, with integration of different XML metadata files, media and archiving functions. For example, for on-air promotions, Telson now takes full advantage of the system's flexibility and responsiveness to restore segments of footage and even consolidate footage into the same file, if necessary. This allows a very fast and accurate workflow of obtaining files by using low resolution navigation of the VSNExplorer interface and consolidating the hotlist, directly from the offline content.
The integration of VSNExplorer and FlashNet allows operators to send and retrieve content from the LTO library directly from the VSN MAM and BPM. This means that the user can get the full benefit of SGL's FlashNet but in a system that maintains full transparency for users.
