VisLink: uncut links
Vislink announces a major improvement to the interleaving system of its Deep Link Wireless Camera solution.
Put to the test for the first time in the last London Marathon and in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Vislink's new Deep Link Wireless Camera interleaving system made it possible to link the different motorcycles covering the race, practically eliminating any interruption in the transmission of the signal. This advanced technology can compensate for transmission disturbances up to 4 seconds long, and includes instant relocking once the signal is restored. The operator can activate or deactivate this function giving him full control over the correction and error tolerance levels.
Thanks to this system, coverage of high-speed sporting events such as a bicycle race, a motorcycle race or a marathon is greatly improved, where trees on bridges and other obstacles block the transmitter's frequency, making it difficult for the receiver to receive the signal cleanly. Another typical application for Vislink's Deep Link Wireless Camera could be the use of cameras on helicopters.
Deep Interleaving is available as an option for the Link Xpu onboard units and the new XPC mini transmitter, with L1500 transmitters and L1600 transmitters also being available in the near future. Existing users can purchase the Deep Link interleaving system as an upgrade software license.
