DiviCom Electra 8000, Harmonic universal coding at IBC'09

Among the solutions that Harmonic will bring to Amsterdam, its DiviCom Electra 8000 encoding solution stands out for both SD and HD environments in MPEH-2 and MPEG-4 with formats up to 1080p 50/60. This solution processes up to four channels per RU. If you're looking to combine AVC and MPEG-2 compression, then Harmonic's solution is the Ellipse contributory coding system.

The ProView 7000 combines a scalable video receiver, a DVB processor, a multi-format decoder and an MPEG processor in a single unit. Finally, the SupraLink family is made up of a series of proposals for fiber transmission of both analog and digital signals at 1 GHz, covering distances that could reach up to forty kilometers.
