Harmonic now has, and even more so after integration with Omneon, an extensive portfolio of solutions for production and editing with shared storage, multi-camera production and sports events, coding for contribution, management, transcoding and distribution of content.

In production and editing with shared storage, thanks to its technology, multiple editors and composers work as a team by sharing projects and content libraries, using Omneon Mediagrid and FilmPartners' MXFserver solution. This workflow thus allows you to connect, in a fully collaborative environment, multiple users editing on Premiere, FCP or Media Composer, sharing the same material and project with total agility.

In servers, it should be noted that the new Media Centers offer a solution halfway between the MediaDeck and the Spectrum, with up to 12 channels at 50 Mbps and up to 8 or 16 TB.

For multi-camera production, Omneon Spectrum servers together with the advanced applications of S4M's ClipJockey system allow for high flexibility in studio productions with multi-camera editing and compositing. It should be noted that, as has been evident in these sessions, the integration of EVS with MediaGrid allows capacity to be increased at a lower cost.

For the production of sporting events, it is now possible to share content from various EVS operators using the Omneon MediaGrid system and its support for IPDirector. In this way, by integrating the IPDirector solution with MediaGrid it is possible to create highlights with EVS, work in collaborative editing, even produce in multi-camera and once the material has been edited, directly do the playout with IPDirector itself.

With respect to the growing demand for multiplatform content distribution, thanks to the Harmonic ProStream 4000 and Promedia Origin systems, content can be distributed with the highest quality in web environments, adapting them to current mobile devices or in any of the usual formats.

Combining the capabilities of the Omneon Spectrum servers and the Harmonic Ellipse and Proview systems, it is also possible to encode for contribution and demanding environments, accessing the content acquired in the field with maximum agility and allowing its editing within the first 30 seconds from its live acquisition.

For content management and transcoding, from the most advanced Omneon Media Application Server or its Omneon ProXplore system to Rhozet systems, Harmonic has systems for any automatic content management and processing application, allowing the operation and cost of content production in different formats to be optimized to the maximum.
