TVN Chile acquires more Grass Valley LDK 8000

Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) has purchased new LDK 8000 from Grass Valley for use both in the studio and in its new mobile unit.

National Television of Chile (TVN) continues to increase its production in high definition. To this end, six new units have now been added to the dozen LDK 8000 camcorders, all of them recently updated to the LDK 8000 Elite version, which have been regularly used in mobile units and in TVN studios. These Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite are also multi-format and will be dedicated to the production of HD programs in the studios in Santiago de Chile and in a new mobile that is currently being integrated.

Mario Sepúlveda, deputy technical director of TVN Chile, has justified this investment by commenting that “we have had a good experience with the Grass Valley cameras that we use every day, having also considered the fact that the cameras work in switchable HD format.”

The LDK 8000 Elite series are third-generation cameras with HD-DPM+ sensors that offer up to 9.2 million pixels, being able to capture true progressive images in native HD by switching to any format or aspect ratio at any time.
