Mobile TV, a leading North American mobile unit rental company, incorporates a new Kayenne switcher and ten Grass Valley LDK 6000/8000 camera chains.

Grass Valley KayenneBased in Denver, Colorado, Denver Mobile Television Group (MTVG), one of the largest mobile unit rental and service companies in the US, has installed its second Grass Valley Kayenne multi-format switcher integrated into its 10HDX truck. This mobile unit is designed for the simultaneous production of programs in North American standard definition (480i) and high definition (720p or 1080i).

MTVG acquired its first Kayenne last July, now betting again on Grass Valley in the remodeling of its new 10 HDX mobile that will be based in Southern California and which until now had a Grass Valley Kalypso HD mix. Usually this unit is used for the production of basketball, hockey and baseball. Along with the Kayenne, the mobile will have a dozen Grass Valley LDK 6000/8000 camera chains with triax adapters.

The North American services company plans to add its third Kayenne in early 2010. Jeff Rosica, senior vice president of Grass Valley, commented that "there is no greater praise for Grass Valley and the Kayenne video production solution than seeing that a customer who already has one wants to buy another. Mobile Television Group has always been at the forefront of field production technology, hoping that this second Kayenne will help it stay on the front line."
