Alliance between Chellomedia and CBS launch six channels in the United Kingdom

The North American CBS allied with Chellomedia in the United Kingdom in a Join-Venture that pretends to launch six channels: Zone Romantica, Zone Thriller, Zone Horror, Zone Horror+1, Zone reality and Zone reality+1.

The chellomedy channel portfolio in the United Kingdom has increased with six new channels thanks to a 50/50 joint venture agreement with the American CBS. These channels are Zone Romantica, Zone Thriller, Zone Horror and Zone reality, as well as the +1 versions of Zone Horror and Zone reality. The agreement includes the access of these channels to the more than 70,000 hours of programming with series as mythical as Dinastóa or Star Trek as well as numerous Paramount productions.

Chellomedia channels in the United Kingdom are distributed to more than 13 million homes through Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat.
The operation with CBS will be articulated around Chello Zone, Chellomedia subsidiary and international programming arm of Liberty Global, a company that acquired a majority participation of 87.5% in Zonevision in 2005. Subsequently, Chello bought the remaining actions in the company in 2007.
