Sonifex expands its factory in the United Kingdom
A new production line increases component placement capacity by up to four times.
Sonifex has recently expanded its manufacturing capacity by adding a new assembly line as well as doubling the workspace for industrial production.
Among the new equipment installed, a DEK Horizon 03i for screen printing with automatic cleaning, 2D paste inspection and PCB centering by vision and a new vapor phase oven stand out. This new machinery has increased component placement capacity by up to four times.
Sonifex Director Marcus Brooke said: "2012 was the best year ever with our highest sales volume and at times we were short on manufacturing space. Since then we have focused on another factory unit, moving our warehouse and adding another surface mount manufacturing line. We have also moved our manufacturing to create more rational cells, within our current building. We have had significant growth in product lines over the last 5 years, increasing customer demand and At Sonifex we work with a rather unusual scheme, in that we carry out most of our own manufacturing and assembly, with dedicated machinery for surface assembly of electronics, sub-assembly and complete testing facilities, as well as an engineering workshop for the manufacture of metalwork. Having control of the manufacturing process helps to keep our quality high and product delivery times under control.
