Globe TV in super slow motion
The Brazilian broadcaster Tv GloboTV incorporates an I-Movix SprintCam V3 HD to capture images in super slow motion.
Tv Globo has acquired the new SprintCam V3 HD from I-Movix, to capture images in super slow motion in its sports and entertainment broadcasts. The Brazilian network will use I-Movix technology mainly for sports broadcasts, including soccer and volleyball, as well as in specific projects in the entertainment area.
The SprintCam V3 HD from I-Movix is the first high-speed camera solution with high-definition image capture and playback with native 1920x1080 resolution. Capture speed can be adjusted between 250 and 2,000 fps, with instant replay, producing slow motion images 8 to 66 times slower than actual speed. The SprintCam V3 HD is the most advanced HD system currently available for this type of use.
Tv Globo opted for I-Movix technology after carrying out a series of field tests in Rio de Janeiro and verifying that the SprintCam V3 HD would allow the Brazilian channel to master all the resources involved in capturing and reproducing images in super slow motion. Based on realistic conditions, testing demonstrated its ease of use as well as its ability to produce stunning images in real time.
Fujinon from Brazil also intervened in the development of these tests by making a lens available to Tv Globo.
