FIDA SudáfricaFIFA intends to produce at least half of next year's World Cup matches in South Africa in stereographic format. Although more details have not yet been revealed, it is known that the host broadcasters of this championship, HBS, are considering this possibility both for the broadcast of the matches in cinemas and special venues and on the television itself as technology allows.

Multinationals such as Sony, co-sponsor of the World Cup, Panasonic, LG and Samsung are pressing the accelerator of 3D in order to use the South Africa event as the commercial start of consumer stereoscopy.
