Come with SABC at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa
The Vitec Group subsidiary closes an important contract with SABC to equip the four mobile phones that Sony Professional UK is integrating for coverage of the upcoming World Cup in South Africa.
SABC has commissioned Vinten to supply a dozen Vector 750 heads (like the Vector 700, this uses a unique counterbalancing mechanism that does not use springs or cams but rather an advanced mechanical linkage system that balances the cameras at various points of center of gravity), six Vision 250 (uses the TF Thin Film drag resistance system, which provides constant drag resistance and uniform behavior, and incorporates electronic stability reading) and two Vision light heads 11 that will go to the four mobile units that Sony Professional is integrating to enter service next year for the coverage of the World Cup in South Africa.
All this Vinten equipment incorporates Perfect Balance technology that offers extremely smooth movements with maximum precision. The heads will be complemented by appropriate tripods, including a dozen HDT-2s, as well as other accessories such as dollies, telescopic rods and various frame clamps.
The first of the mobile units that Sony is integrating is now operational, and in fact was used during the last Confederations Cup. The other phones will be delivered next October and in January 2010.
