From December 1 to 5, 2009, the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid hosts the second edition of the Brazilian film competition, which on this occasion brings ten unpublished films in Spain.

After the success of the first edition, the II Cine Fest Brasil-Madrid arrives in Madrid, which will take place between December 1 and 5 at the Círculo de Bellas Artes. Ten feature films make up this contest that brings recent and highly successful productions in Brazil to the Spanish public. Among the titles are Last stop, by director Bruno Barreto, one of the most prolific and international Brazilian directors, and the film The storyteller, by Luiz Villaça, starring Portuguese actress Maria Medeiros.

In addition to the screenings, this second edition of the Cine Fest Brasil-Madrid will feature debates on Brazilian cinema and the presence of actors and directors from the Latin American country with whom the public will be able to exchange their impressions. As in the previous edition, the award for the best film is borne by the public who, with their vote, will award the Glass Lens to the best feature film. invisible woman, by Cláudio Torres; Maré, our love story, by Lúcia Murat; The man who bottled clouds, by Lírio Ferreira; If nothing else goes well, by José Eduardo Belmonte; Veronica, by Maurício Farias; Divan, by José Alvarenga Jr.; Romance, by Guel Arraes, and Smoking I wait, by Adriana L. Dutra, are other titles that make up the festival.

Organized by the Inffinito Circuit, the II Cine Fest Brasil-Madrid is part of a traveling circuit and the productions presented on this occasion have already been seen in cities such as Canudos (Bahia- Brazil), Buenos Aires, Miami, Vancouver, New York, London and Rome; After passing through Madrid, the exhibition will make its last stop in Barcelona (between December 11 and 17 at the Cines Verdi). The festival is sponsored by the Brazilian Tourism Company EMBRATUR and by the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, in Madrid the event has the collaboration of the Círculo de Bellas Artes.
