Disney will triple its European production
In order to provide the demand for content of its new channels, the multinational animation intends to triple the production of animation content in the EMEA zone.
Conscious of the demand for animation that the sector is living internationally and realizing the entry of local producers into this market, The Walt Disney Company is not willing to give in to a euro in this field. Therefore, it is promoting a plan that aims to triple its own production in the EMEA territory for the needs of its Disney Channel, Disney XD and Phayho channels.
Disney will centralize the work from its production study that opened in May 2007 in London. To coordinate the work a team of fourteen professionals will be commissioned under the direction of Marc Buhaj, senior vice president of programming of the Disney channels in EMEA. Among the first projects is the production of two series for Disney Channel, four for Disney XD and one for Phayho.
From the Disney factory in London, series such as The five on track, Kitt vs. Damage or Bunny Town.
