Promax DT 212: regenerating damaged DTT signals
The new DVB-T to DVB-T transmodulator (COFDM) from Promax allows you to regenerate the quality of DTT signals that have been damaged along the route.
One of the problems that digital terrestrial television signals present is the punishment they usually receive along the way until they reach the receiving antenna, and it is sometimes impossible for DTT decoders to recover a good image. Now, Promax Electronica has launched the DT 212 on the market, a new module in the DTTV range that allows this signal from transmitters and gapfillers to be regenerated.
The DT-212 is a DVB-T to DVB-T (COFDM) transmodulator that has a direct COFDM input that can be adjusted to any multiplexed signal and an output in the UHF band (VHF on request). Agile in frequency and output level, this module allows you to restore the quality of multiplexed signals when they come from a noisy source. Another interesting feature is that it is possible to change from one input channel to another channel while maintaining full quality.
Starting from really low MER levels, a quality higher than 39 dBs can be achieved (the same as the signal coming from the transmitter). This system is especially interesting in medium and large-sized installations, and even in small repeaters in areas where coverage is poor.
