Euronews, also in Turkish

Euronews already broadcasts in 9 different languages ​​(and Turkish), which will be 10 by the end of the year with the addition of Persian. The signal, on which around thirty journalists will work, will be inaugurated on Saturday, January 30 with a special program from the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul.

The pan-European information channel Euronews nods to Turkey as a candidate country to join the union and from now on will also broadcast its programming in Turkish, thus joining the current existing signals in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic. With a potential audience of 300 million homes worldwide, in Spain, Euronews is seen in 70 percent of homes via cable, satellite, IPTV, mobile and terrestrial.

The Turkish language signal will be inaugurated on Saturday, January 30 with a special program from the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul with the attendance of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

A team of 30 journalists will be in charge of this new news service that will be available on the euronews global satellite network, as well as on Turksat, owned by the Turkish public radio and television company (TRT), which acquired 15.70 percent of the European channel last September. The service will be broadcast, partially, on TRT2, as well as on Digiturk's digital satellite offering. On the Internet, you can follow 24 hours a day through the web.

Desde euronews esparamos contribuir a consolidar los lazos europeos y a extender la idea de Europa por todo el mundo”.

Euronews es el canal internacional de información más visto en Europa (audiencia todos públicos): cada día 2,9 millones de Europeos ven euronews mediante el cable, el satélite y 3,6 millones por la vía hertziana según datos de Telmar Peaktime, el sistema de evaluación basado en los Audimats medido en el primer semestre de 2009.
