First Euphonix S5 Fusion installed in Spain
Fig Tree Studios, the new facilities that Andre Galletly has launched in Barcelona, becomes the first installation in Spain that has this 32 channel console. Fig Studios has just concluded with her her first work ‘Lastrain’.
Andre Galletly has opted for Barcelona to set up his new studies of mixtures and sound under the name Fig Tree Studios. Among its facilities it has a Dolby Digital Mix Room designed by Philip Newell, in which it has incorporated the first Euphonix S5 Fusion system that is installed in Spain.
Fig Tree is dedicated to both dubbing and mixtures of American films and the local production market. As Galletly commented "with the S5 Fusion as the cornerstone of this study, we can offer local producers a concept of boutique, with custom solutions."
The Euphonix fusion S5 is a whole-in-one digital audio mixing system that offers a fusion between the DSP Supercore processing engine with hybrid Eucon, a technology that allows the surface console to control its own DSP channels, as well as multiple external DAW channels simultaneously. The system is designed to handle HD audio envelope in a practical way. The new SP663 DSP tares increase the number of channels to more than 100 channels of 48 kHz, also being able to work at 96 kHz, with half the channels.
When opting for the table to buy, Andrew Galletly together with two of the most prestigious mixers in Spain, Jordi Monros and Marc Orts traveled to Pinewood Studios to see different Euphonix in action in very different situations. Now, Fig Tree has concluded the soundtrack of the film Lastrain, directed by Tony López and David Sanz, and are about to get fully with the 5.1 mixture of Stigmas, Adam Aliaga's spring opera, who won the award for Best News director at the Last Valladolid Film Festival.
