Building on an integrated workflow with existing Avid Interplay Production and Unity ISIS systems, CBS will monetize its tape and digital assets by opening up new revenue opportunities while reducing operating costs.

CBS News has chosen the new Interpay Media Asset Manager module to organize and make available its huge library of images. Through full integration with existing Avid Interplay Production and Unity ISIS systems, Interplay Media Asset Manager will allow CBS News to easily identify all available tapes and their digital library assets for use by CBS' own staff or marketed to third parties.

Kirk Arnold, executive vice president and COO of Avid, highlighted that "CBS News is at the forefront of a rapidly changing industry, and we are delighted to partner with them to create a more open, agile and collaborative workflow that helps them unlock new revenue opportunities while reducing operating costs. By leveraging Avid's open architecture, CBS News will continue to have the flexibility they need to respond to the constantly evolving needs of their business."

Interplay Media Asset Manager allows you to index, catalog, manage, retrieve and distribute all material fully integrated into an existing workflow. Clients can thus have a system adapted to their business needs that allows them to monetize their assets in new markets and geographic areas.
