UV ray absorption with Rosco's UV 226 filter
The UV 226 filter is a product from Rosco's E-Colour+ range designed to block near UV wavelengths, while transmitting visible rays when using discharge lamps.
Projectors with discharge lamps based on mercury vapor are often used in television and cinema. These types of lamps emit UV radiation, with wavelengths below 400 nm.
Uncontrolled UV radiation can cause some counterproductive effects, so it is advisable to use blocking measures in set lamps for this type of radiation.
The UV 226 filter from Rosco's E-Colour+ range absorbs all UV energy at wavelengths between 200 and 400 nm. The UV 226 filter allows the transmission of the visible spectrum without producing chromatic deviations. It is an excellent option to use with all projectors that use discharge lamps when you want to block unwanted UV energy.
