Since it began its collaboration with VideoMedia a year ago to supply different equipment that it is using in the Chamber of Deputies and in numerous mobile units designed for Accionmedia Television, For-A is gaining ground in Chile. Coinciding with the launch of the HVS-300HS HD/SD portable mixer in early 2009, Chilevisión quickly acquired a unit for its broadcast operations, followed by a second last December. Two other mixers have now just been delivered to the Chilean broadcaster. One of these new units is being used as a main mixer in a studio dedicated to drama production, while the others are used for theater productions. The other will be used as a backup in the main control.
On the other hand, Broadeyes Producciones, an independent production company based in Santiago, has also opted for the HVS-300HS for its mobile high definition unit, one of the first for HD production in the Chilean market. The Santiago Equestrian Club has also acquired the largest mixer for its production needs, the 2 M/E HVS-3800HS. The Chilean education market has also relied on the HVS-300HS, with units installed at the Central University of Chile in Santiago and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
