Along with the new 18 S1 fluid head and Speed ​​Lock CF tripod, Sachtler has provided an Artemis DV Pro MD camera stabilization system.

During the rally, the team not only has to battle lack of sleep and the highest UV index in the world, but also deal with the most extreme weather and terrain.

The Dutch director of DakarPress, Léon Jansen, highlighted that "when recording in the dunes and in the countryside, the Artemis DV Pro MD camera stabilizer is used. When walking, the system absorbs movement very well, resulting in stable recording and perfect photography."

Although the Artemis DV Pro MD has been developed for small HDV cameras, this stabilizer offers all the features of large systems such as double dynamic balance with fine adjustment, quick coupling for easy attachment and six main cores with Lemo connector for a reliable connection to the module.

For the 2011 Dakar Rally, the DakarPress team is already planning to have an operator with this system from the roof of a jeep.

The new Sachtler 18 S1 liquid head is also ready to roll in no time. Simply pressing the “Boost” button changes the load capacity in one second, while the proven Speedbalance technology allows for quick precision adjustment.
