The Academy aims to promote the recovery of the historical memory of Television

In the work plan that the new Board of Directors will address this term there are projects such as “Living Treasures” of Television which, within the framework created by UNESCO for the defense of intangible heritage, will collect the testimony of more than 400 professionals who contributed to creating television in Spain and will be the embryo of the future “Television Museum”.

The Electoral Board of the Academy of Television Sciences and Arts, chosen by lottery and composed of academics Glenda Gaby, Horacio Arias, José Carlos Cuesta, Carlos Martínez and Carmen Utrilla, has proclaimed this Tuesday to the Board of Directors chaired by Manuel Campo Vidal, who takes office and will be at the head of the Institution for the next four years.

In the work plan that the new Board of Directors will address this term there are projects such as “Living Treasures” of Television which, within the framework created by UNESCO for the defense of intangible heritage, will collect the testimony of more than 400 professionals who contributed to creating television in Spain and will be the embryo of the future “Television Museum”.

Among other initiatives, the new government team will create a registry of program formats with legal validity, promote debate and the development of a code of ethics that reaffirms ethical and professional values in the field of television, review the different categories of the Annual Awards to adapt them to the new television reality, promote studies and master conferences given by academics in various fields and courses specialized in new technologies, make agreements with institutions and companies to offer new services to academics and will fight to obtain a headquarters for the Institution.
