'Sponsor a frame', a curious initiative to finance the short film 'La Victoria de Úrsula'
The creators of one of the most ambitious short films in Spanish cinema, with a great display of effects in post-production halfway between real and virtual sets, have launched a curious initiative to help in the completion of the project. Each person who “sponsors a frame” with their contribution will receive a unique and unrepeatable frame before post-production and another once post-production is completed.
The creators of Ursula's Victory, one of the most ambitious short films in Spanish cinema with a great display of effects in post-production halfway between real and virtual sets, have launched a curious initiative to help in the completion of the project. The “Sponsor a frame” campaign was created with the aim of helping the short film finish its post-production.
Thanks to this initiative, each person who makes their contribution will be the owner, symbolically speaking, of a frame of the short film, in a unique and unrepeatable capacity. For the record, the collaborator will first receive the aforementioned “raw” frame in digital format, that is, without any type of post-production, just as it came into the world.
When the short film is finished, the collaborator will receive another frame, now with all the post-production carried out: integration of digital backgrounds, color correction,... In this way he will see the frame he adopted grow.
The “co-producers” will also be able to receive many more gifts such as t-shirts, DVDs of the short film, the CD with the Soundtrack (composed and orchestrated by Arnau Bataller), an exclusive book with the designs, drawings, storyboard, annotations… they would also participate in the economic benefits of its exploitation.
Ursula's Victory It is directed by Julio Martí and Nacho Ruipérez, with a script by the latter. The VFX supervisor is Luis Tinoco (Onirikal Studio), Manuel Portillo is in charge of editing, and Juanma Sanchís and Raúl Abellán are in charge of sound.
Among other companies and institutions, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Madrid Film Commission, Digitalis Art, Todo CD, Cesna Producciones and Taller de la Imagen collaborate in this project.
