Dygra Films presents in FICOD 2010 its Dygra Native Digital 3D solution that guarantees a production designed and carried out from the first moment in stereoscopic. Its director, Manolo Gómez, denounces the existence of the proliferation of a false 3D that "causes the frustration of the viewer, who does not see his expectations satisfied."

Dygra Films has been present at the International Forum of Digital Content (Ficod 2010), which has been held this week in Madrid. Through a round table and a workshop, those responsible for the studies put on the table the role of the stereoscopy in digital animation, based on their experience with the production of Holy Night!, The fourth feature film of the studies, conceived from the origin taking into account this technology.

The director of Dygra Films, Manolo Gómez, shared a table with responsible for other producers to make a year of animation. In this context, he demanded that public authorities a commitment to the industrial sector of digital content generation, a commitment to a "productive sector that works with ideas and talented."

Asismism, Gomez highlighted the 3D stereoscopic as a differential element that has meant a new film revolution and is already conditioning not only the production process, but also that of distribution. With respect to the fourth length of Dygra, whose production has just finished, said that "Holy Night! Had a good offer for its premiere this Christmas in 400 rooms in 35 mm., But we want it to be in digital rooms, so we have had to go to 2011".

Manolo Gómez also emphasized the existence of a “false 3D”, which is nothing more than moving to 3D a film conceived and made in two dimensions, “which causes the frustration of the spectator, which does not see its expectations satisfied. However, if a 3D digital film is good, it provides an immersive experience that makes it worth the greatest cost of the entrance”.

Finally, he referred to the difficulties that the digital era brings, especially in the field of distribution, in which new roads are opened that are favoring that large groups enjoy absolute control of this process, leaving many independent producers out of the rooms.

Taller-debate

In a workshop held yesterday afternoon, Serxio Gómez and Juan Galiñanes presented Dygra Films' own seal, Dygra Native Digital 3D, which guarantees a production designed and made from the first moment in 3D stereoscopic, as in the case of Holy Night!, of which they showed an advance.

The evolution of the stereoscopy and its application not only to cinema but also to advertising production focused the debate generated after the presentation.
