Canon BU-50H with Vaddio control in the new Telecommunications Museum in the Dominican Republic

Vaddio together with Nutech Engineering has just installed a remote control system for Canon BU-50H PTZ cameras in the new Telecommunications Cultural Center in the Dominican Republic. The robotic pan/tilt mechanism installed in the auditorium is capable of offering panoramic views of up to 360 degrees horizontally and 60 degrees vertically in each camera, being able to establish previous presets in both pan, tilt and zoom.

Vaddio together with Nutech Engineering has just installed a remote control system for Canon BU-50H PTZ cameras in the new Telecommunications Cultural Center in the Dominican Republic. Located in Santo Domingo, this new cultural space is an interactive museum dedicated to the history of communication and information technologies, which reflects their impact on the daily lives of Dominicans. Promoted by the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL), the auditorium of this new venue has two Canon 3 CCD HD PTZ cameras that are robotic and controlled from a precise Vaddio camera control.

These cameras feature three 1/3-inch CCDs offering 1.67 million pixels, 20x optical zoom, Auto Focus function and image stabilization technology. The robotic pan/tilt mechanism is capable of offering panoramic views of up to 360 degrees horizontally and 60 degrees vertically, being able to establish previous presets in both pan, tilt and zoom.

The Canon BU-50H is controlled remotely by the operator using the Vaddio Precision Camera Controller via RS-422. This control offers broadcast-quality joystick control that allows high precision of movements, as well as adjustment through the CCU of both the gain and the level of detail and iris.
