Income from the audiovisual sector increased by 10.25% in the third quarter

According to the Third Quarterly Report of 2010 (July-September 2010) prepared by the Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT), the income of the audiovisual sector (including subsidies amounting to 1,297.7 million) increased 10.25% in the third quarter compared to the same period in 2009. In the Information Technology sector as a whole, during the third quarter of the year, the sector in Spain recorded revenues of 9,641 million euros, 1.9% less compared to the same period of the previous year. By type of services, the retail segment added revenues of 8,056 million euros, with a year-on-year drop of 1.1%, while wholesale services reported revenues of 1,585 million euros, 5.7% less.

In the chapter of retail services, the CMT sees a moderation in the fall in income, since between July-September 2009, income from retail services presented a year-on-year decrease of 7.3%.
