Mario Rodríguez Valderas, new corporate general director of Telecinco
Rodríguez, who carries out his duties reporting to the CEOs Paolo Vasile and Giuseppe Tringali, has participated prominently in the most relevant institutional and legal processes of Telecinco throughout its history, such as the company's IPO in 2004 or the recent operation for the acquisition of Cuatro and 22% of Digital+.
Mario Rodríguez Valderas has been appointed Corporate General Director of Telecinco, a position he will hold as of January 1, 2011.
Rodríguez, who carries out his duties reporting to the CEOs Paolo Vasile and Giuseppe Tringali, has participated prominently in the most relevant institutional and legal processes of Telecinco throughout its history, such as the company's IPO in 2004 or the recent operation for the acquisition of Cuatro and 22% of Digital+.
Graduated in Law and Business Sciences from ICADE, Rodríguez has a Master's degree in Business Legal Management from the Free Institute of Law and Economics. He began his professional career in the office of Professor of Administrative Law Santiago Muñoz Machado (1991-1998), where he specialized in legislation related to the media.
In 1998 he joined Telecinco, forming part of the team that created the Legal Department and the Internal Audit Department. In 2000 he was appointed Secretary of the Council and in 2003 Secretary General and as such he represents Telecinco in the main forums of the audiovisual sector. In addition, he is responsible for the company's Corporate Governance and Responsibility matters. On the other hand, he is a professor at the Business Institute of Audiovisual and Telecommunications Law.
