Enrique Alejo, new corporate general director of RTVE

Since January 2012, he had been holding the position of general director of Gambling Regulation of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations.

The board of directors of RTVE has approved, at the proposal of president Leopoldo González Echenique, the appointment of Enrique Alejo as the new corporate general director.

Enrique Alejo González (1959) has a doctorate in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid and a commercial technician and state economist by competitive examination since 1985. He has held various positions of responsibility within the Spanish economic and commercial administration, such as general director of Commerce and Investment, economic and commercial advisor in the offices of Quito (Ecuador) and Chicago (United States) and director of the training and advisory division of the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (Icex).

En el ámbito de la empresa pública, ha sido presidente de la Sociedad Estatal Madrid 94, director de la Fundación Centro de Estudios Comerciales, director de relaciones internacionales de INECO y director de Coordinación y Relaciones Institucionales de Navantia.

Asimismo, ha sido miembro del consejo de administración de la empresa Nacional del Uranio, la compañía de Filipinas, y la compañía de seguro de crédito a la exportación (CESCE)
