Guillermo Mercader, new general director of Yomvi
Mercader was general director of Residential at Orange, a position he also held at Ono from 2011 until his current incorporation to Canal+.
Guillermo Mercader Herrero has been appointed general director of Yomvi. Mercader arrives at Canal+ with the aim of promoting the project and developing new challenges in the digital environment. In his new position he will be responsible for the strategy, development and management of Yomvi. Likewise, he will be in charge of coordinating the other digital activities of Canal+.
With a degree in Business Administration and Law and a Master's degree in Financial Markets from the Autonomous University of Madrid, Mercader's career has developed in the world of telecommunications and the digital environment, where he has held positions of responsibility in different companies in the sector. In 2003 he was CEO of Ya.com. In 2008 he was general director of Residential in Orange, a position he also held in Ono from 2011 until his current incorporation to Canal+.
Yomvi is Canal+'s bet in the online environment, which offers live television and also in the form of video on demand and that allows you to enjoy Canal+, wherever you want and whenever you want. The latest data for the month of August shows that more than 356,700 Canal+ customers have used Yomvi and have made more than 2.3 million downloads.
