During the II Conference on Innovation and Digital Transformation, the corporate general director of RTVE highlights “the need to commit to data, content and technology, where this must be the backbone.”

RTVE This Thursday the second edition of the Day Innovation and Digital Transformation, organized by the General Corporate Management. The meeting was inaugurated by the corporate general director of RTVE, Enrique Alejo.

The event was attended by members of the RTVE Board of Directors, the Management Committee, companies and collaborating entities. In its opening, the corporate general director, Enrique Alejo, highlighted “that for RTVE the user experience is fundamental, where RTVE has the great advantage of being able to emphasize it in the long term, to retain its audience.” Alejo has also highlighted "the need to commit to data, content and technology, where this must be the backbone. Technology that RTVE has to establish, incorporate and expand on a daily basis." Finally, Enrique Alejo has mentioned the great importance of the organization, "we must accept ideas from inside and outside the company, it is necessary to energize and transform our RTVE. Innovation has to be the DNA of the RTVE Corporation."

Herein II Conference on Innovation and Digital Transformation, new forms of audience knowledge and user experience have been addressed through the presentations of Ignacio Gómez, Juan de Meer, Juan Llorens and Manuel Gómez Zotano.

In addition, production and content in the digital environment were discussed with presentations on augmented reality, with Patricio de la Nuez, Jaume Asensi and Francisco Ibáñez; on IP technology in RTVE production studios, with David Valcarce and Víctor Sánchez; on 4K transmission on DTT and 5G, with Adolfo Muñoz and José Manuel Menéndez; and on the new production systems for RNE, with Manuel Giménez.

Next, the day focused on new content and business models. Within this topic, the director of Strategy and Image of TVE, María José Bultó, has spoken about Playz; Francisco Cano on the new RTVE a la Carte; and Rodolfo Domínguez Alfageme on the OTT marketing project.

Another of the key topics of the day was digital transformation and cultural change, which focused on the second edition of Impulsa Visión, with presentations by Óscar Baza and Javier Sánchez; and in internal innovation and the iNOVA Project, with Paloma Urgorri, Esteban Mayoral and Alfonso López.

Finally, the conference addressed digital tools for 21st century information through presentations on the experience of news in mobility, with José Manuel Pérez Tornero and José Juan Ruiz; Big Data applied to content analysis; with Alberto de Prada, Carmen Pérez and Eduardo Lleida; and about new tools and new possibilities in the communication process, with Pere Vila, Jara Abella and José Antonio Hernández.
