Green light to the II Collective Agreement of the RTVE Corporation

The signing of the pre-agreement, despite entailing cuts, will guarantee employment and opens a new path for the future for public radio and television.

RTVEAfter the first consultation failed, now in a new vote the RTVE Corporation staff has given the green light to the II Collective Agreement. This pre-agreement represents a great step to guarantee the future of RTVE, because it ensures the integrity of the workforce, the Territorial Structure and the non-application of geographical mobility.

The high participation of RTVE workers as well as the normality with which the referendum day called by the union representation for the application of the Collective Agreement passed have marked this pre-agreement.

Participation has reached 61.6% of the workforce included in the census. 2,871 workers voted in favor of the pre-agreement reached by the negotiating table. 571 more than in the previous consultation, which totals 72.96% of the votes cast, which represents an increase of 25.8% compared to the support received in the previous consultation.

In the first referendum, 2,300 workers voted “yes” to the management's pre-agreement with the majority of the union representation, which represented 47% of the votes cast.

In the coming days, the company management and the social part will proceed to ratify the agreement.
