On February 9, 2001, Tedial was born in the PTA of Malaga, a Spanish company that in just ten years has become one of the leading radio and television software companies in the world. One of the keys to this clear success can be found in its determined commitment to R&D and a marked international focus.

Tedial celebrates its tenth anniversary this February 9. This Spanish company was born in 2001 as a result of the union of a group of researchers and university doctors linked to the University of Malaga with extensive knowledge of the latest advances related to audiovisual information systems.

From the beginning it focused its activity on the management of business processes and multimedia assets, being useful for any organization that needs to archive, search or use video or audio recordings, achieving its solutions quickly position itself in the broadcast market.

In addition to having technologically advanced knowledge, the founders also contributed their extensive experience in consulting, integration systems and product development both nationally and internationally. Today, eighty professionals work at Tedial, mainly engineers, who develop cutting-edge solutions in audiovisual content management, system integration, design of production flows and control processes in sectors that include television, radio, institutions, healthcare and industry.

International expansion

Thanks to a notable international expansion, especially in strategic markets with strong growth such as Latin America, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, the Middle East, France and Morocco, the company expects to invoice around 12 million euros this year, growing 25% compared to the 9 million invoiced in 2010. 90% of the expected turnover for this year will come from international markets.

Last summer it took a new step in its internationalization with the opening of a delegation in the United Kingdom.

One of the keys to this clear success can be found in its determined commitment to R&D, maintaining a strong link with the University of Malaga.

Looking to the future, the general director of Tedial has indicated that "we provide complete and global solutions with all its products, capable of adapting in record time to the new integration standards of content management systems on the market. This innovative company philosophy means that in the midst of this global economic crisis, Tedial has not stopped growing and has great business expectations for the present and the most immediate future."

Tedial's main products are Ficus (Business Process Management), the business process manager; Media Process Manager (MPM), the media process manager; Indexer, program for automatic analysis and indexing of video, audio and digital images; Capture, for the digitization and ingestion of audio and video content; AST, the hierarchical content storage manager; and Tarsys, the multi-format content management system. One of their main characteristics is maximum compatibility with third-party systems, which allows for efficient integration of tools from different manufacturers. Tedial systems are characterized by great flexibility, being adaptable and customizable to the client's needs, optimizing the available resources of existing installations and allowing unlimited scalability.

Currently, we can find Tedial's technology in top-level broadcasters such as RTVE, with one of the largest digitalization projects in the world; the sports channel ESPN Sur, based in Argentina; the Mexican Televisa; or the thematic channel manager Chello Multicanal.
