The VPL-FH30 and VPL-FH500L offer exceptional image resolution at competitive prices. In a market where HD content is on the rise, Sony's new range of WUXGA projectors provide best-in-class image resolution (1920 x 1200), which is slightly higher than Full HD resolution.

Sony Professional has expanded its line of “F” series projectors with two new WUXGA resolution models that offer exceptional image quality and performance for business environments such as boardrooms, showrooms or auditoriums.

The VPL-FH30 and VPL-FH500L are based on Sony's award-winning 3LCD Bright Era technology and offer up to 7,000 lumens of Color Light Output at very competitive prices.

Sony's new range of WUXGA projectors provide best-in-class image resolution (1920 x 1200), which is slightly higher than Full HD resolution.

In a market where high definition content is increasing, these two new devices guarantee that the viewer will not miss a single detail of the images during their projection. Both models are designed for rooms with high ceilings, such as those in auditoriums, churches or university lecture halls, and offer horizontal and vertical displacement figures of 63% and 113% respectively. This unique feature eliminates the need to tilt the projector, which would compromise image resolution.

More HD content

According to Robert Meakin, senior product manager for business projectors at Sony Europe, "although 1080, their prices are comparable to those of lower resolution projectors.”

Like the VPL-FX500L model, introduced in September 2010, the VPL-FH500L has an innovative dual lamp system that is more economical and guarantees fault-free operation. Although the projector can provide a total of 7000 lumens with a single lamp, a second lamp has been incorporated as an automatic replacement in case the main lamp fails. The dual lamp system is perfect for locations such as university lecture halls, where disruption to activity is unacceptable.

Sony WUXGA projectors have been designed with great practicality and include an innovative filter system (Quad Filter System) that uses a single air intake mechanism to prevent common dust particles from entering the projector. It is perfect for conference rooms, where suspended dust tends to be abundant. The filters have an average life of 15,000 hours for the VPL-FH30 and 8,000 hours for the VPL-FH500L, and can be replaced free of charge at the same time as the lamp as part of Sony's synchronized maintenance model.

Both projectors are easy to use, with simple functions such as color adjustment or panel alignment. Both are compatible with 13 of Sony's current projector lenses, allowing customers to upgrade the entire installation, or just some of its components.

Finally, both the VPL-FH30 and VPL-FH500L provide healthcare-compliant DICOM specifications, including GSDF (Grayscale Standard Display Function). Therefore, it is possible to use them in clinics and hospitals to project X-ray, CT and MRI images.

The VPL-FH500L is now on sale while the VPL-FH30 will hit the streets this March.
