PT-FW430 and PT-FX400: two new wireless projectors from Panasonic
The PT-FW430 and PT-FX400 models, along with the optional ET-WM200 wireless module, will allow wireless projection from iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, using the new free “Panasonic Wireless Projector for iOS” application that offers more flexibility to users in educational, exhibition, museum, conference and congress environments.
Panasonic has presented two new LCD projectors, available for European professionals in the audiovisual industry.
With this free application you can open images and files on the device's touch screen and display them on the projector without the need to use a PC or a VGA cable. The two new models also feature a new dust-resistant “Eco filter” design, which removes dust from the air-cooled and LCD panels, reducing image deterioration to maintain high quality.
The PT-FW430 series has lenses with a 2x zoom and manual lens switching to horizontal/vertical position flexibly for use in various locations. With the new application, the touch screen can be used to adjust the zoom of the presentation. The “Panasonic Wireless Projector for iOS” application is compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices with iOS 4.1/4.2.
Available from May 2011, the PT-FW430 has WXGA resolution (1,280 x 800) and 3,500 lumens of brightness, while the PT-FX400 offers XGA resolution (1,024 x 768) and 4,000 lumens, both with a recommended retail price of €3,000. The “Panasonic Wireless Projector for iOS” application is still in development and will be available upon commercial launch of the projectors.
Panasonic also exhibited the DZ110X series at ISE 2011, one of the most compact and lightest with 3-chip DLPTM (Digital Light Processing). Since its launch in August 2010, approximately 1,500 orders have been registered worldwide, 620 of them in Europe. The recommended retail price for this series is 40,000 euros for the PT-DZ110XE, 25,000 euros for the PT-DS100XE and 20,000 euros for the PT-DW90XE model.
