Teradek launches new wireless links with greater features

The new Cube includes Taradek's new ShareLink for uninterrupted HD broadcasting, combining the connection of up to four interfaces on a single, robust broadband link.

The new Cube 605 and 655 that Teradek Presented at IBC include new improvements such as a new built-in dedicated network processor with GigE support for higher bit rates, improved 802.11ac Wi-Fi for greater range, dual HDMI/HD-SDI input and integrated connection with ShareLink. This new addition to the Cube line aims to offer the next generation of versatile encoders for both independent content creators and professionals.

The new Cube 600 series dual processor offers greater data throughput and an overall better user experience. The new design also features a dual-input HDMI/3G-SDI interface - rather than having to choose between HDMI or SDI models - making the unit more versatile for all applications. The HDMI port can accept video signals in 4K resolution and encode up to 1080p30.

Like other Cube models, the Cube 600 Series integrates seamlessly with Teradek Core, cloud-based multipoint routing system, DVR and remote management.

Additional enhancements to the new Cube include Gigabit Ethernet for camera control and system integration, additional clients for iPad monitoring, 3D LUT color management, SD card recording and storage, and two-way IFB communication.

Bolt Sidekick

Teradek also presents the new Bolt Sidekick at IBC, a new addition to its range of wireless links without delay. With a range of almost 100 meters and a lightweight aluminum chassis design and universal connectivity to all Bolt Pro 300/600/2000 systems, the Sidekick receiver is the perfect complement for users with their existing system.

Weighing just 255 grams, Bolt Sidekick is the ideal complement to manual monitors used by first assistants and directors. While allowing docking to all second-generation Bolt Pro systems, the Sidekick operates silently within a 300-foot viewing radius.

With its simple design and minimal footprint, the Sidekick receiver maintains the standards expected of any Bolt system: 7-17V range, 2-pin Lemo input power, LED status indicators, and HDMI/3G-SDI capabilities. The Sidekick includes a ¼-20” anchor for numerous mounting options.
