Sony debuts the new range of UWP-D wireless digital microphones at Prolight + Sound

The UWP-D series microphones are small and lightweight, ideal for broadcast and news productions with compact camcorders and DSLR cameras. Sony will also showcase the digital wireless DWX series and the AWS-750 Anycast Touch system.

Sony will present its expanded portfolio of innovations in professional audio, basic camcorders and simple and easy live and web production from March 12 to 15 at Prolight + Sound 2014 (Frankfurt).

The UWP-D series microphones are small and lightweight, ideal for broadcast and news productions with compact camcorders and DSLR cameras. The UWP-D range uses unique audio processing technology to deliver quality digital sound combined with fully proven analogue FM modulation. During the fair, visitors will be able to see and test the new system with the NXCAM HXR-NX3 camcorder and the Alpha7 DSLR camera.

En Frankfurt podremos ver también el nuevo grabador portátil PCM-D100. Destinado a grabación de audio en alta resolución, incorpora una memoria flash de 32 GB y admite grabación y reproducción del formato de audio PCM lineal a 192 kHz/24 bits. El PCM-D100 también es compatible con DSD de 2,8 MHz/1 bit. El PCM-D100 es ideal para espectáculos musicales en directo, actuaciones teatrales y producción electrónica de informativos.

Sony will also showcase the digital wireless DWX series. The digital wireless microphone platform is suitable for all areas where wireless microphones are necessary and combines wireless digital audio transmission technologies in addition to analog microphone technologies. The result is excellent audio quality with extraordinary stability and operational reliability.

live production

For live and web production, Sony is introducing its integrated portfolio of products, including the simple and ultra-portable Anycast Touch AWS-750 system, as well as its multi-use BRC pan, tilt and zoom cameras, perfect for live events. Visitors will be able to see for themselves the simple new features of the Anycast Touch system with live demonstrations showing the ease of use.

On the other hand, highlight the HDR-MV1 Music Video Recorder. Whether at a concert, a club or a band rehearsal, the HDR-MV1 records stereo sound digitally and uncompressed in linear PCM format (48 kHz/16 bit). The X-Y stereo system with its two high-end built-in microphones, arranged at a 120° angle, records music with incredible depth and extremely precise channel separation. The new music video recorder records videos in Full HD resolution and in MP4 format, compatible with web (MPEG 4 AVC/H.264). As a new addition to the line, the HDR-MV1 is a great product for musicians, broadcast and live clients who require an affordable, easy-to-use product for fast video and sound recording.
