The jury of the Official Section of Feature Films in Competition of the 14th edition of the Malaga Spanish Film Festival has awarded the Biznaga de Oro for Best Film to 'Five meters squared', by director Max Lemcke. The award for best photography went to Gaizka Bourgevad.

The film directed by Max Lemcke, Five square meters, has achieved the highest award at the 14th edition of the Malaga Spanish Film Festival. In addition to the Biznaga de Oro, the film has won the award for best actor for Fernando Tejero; the award for best supporting actor, Jorge Bosh; the Biznaga de Plata Critics Award, and the Egeda Filmotech award for Best Screenplay for Pablo Remón and Daniel Remón.

The tape Catalunya above all!, by director Ramón Termens, won the Special Jury and Young Jury prize for Best Film and there was also a Special Mention, within the award for best supporting actor, for Babou Cham.
The Biznaga de Plata Audience Award has gone to the film Friends, by directors Borja Manso and Marcos Cabotá.

Begoña Maestre has obtained the Biznaga de Plata for best performance for her role in Arriya (The Stone). The award for best photography, awarded by Fotofilm Deluxe, went to Gaizka Bourgevad. Best Costume Design for Saoia Lara, and Best Original Score for Bingen Mendizábal are other awards obtained by Arriya

What is a bear for?, the film that opened the festival, won the Biznaga award for Best Director for Tom Fernández; for best editing for Ángel Hernández Zoido, and for best supporting actress for Geraldine Chaplin.

The Silver Biznaga awarded by ALMA to the best new screenwriter has gone to Enrique Otero and Miguel de Lira for the feature film Crebinsky.

Finally, it should be noted that the jury composed of David Moncasi, Francisco García Gómez and Rosa María Calaf, has awarded the Silver Biznaga for Best Documentary to Circusby Aaron Shock. At the end of the escapade, Albert Solé won second prize in this category as well as the Audience Award.

The Biznaga of the Special Jury Prize has gone to The marriage, by Aldo Garay, and the Special Mention of the Jury for A king for Patagonia, by Lucas Turturro.
