HXR-NX70, Sony's new all-terrain camcorder
Whether for journalists, documentary producers or anyone who wants to capture content in all types of conditions, the HXR-NX70 is a truly all-terrain camcorder. It incorporates a 1/2.88-inch Exmor CMOS sensor with 6.1 million pixels of resolution. Its 96 Gigabytes of integrated Flash memory provide up to 40 hours of storage.
In addition to the relevant memory card slot, the camera offers an internal memory of 96 GB, while its integrated Sony G lens sports 26-260 millimeter equivalent focal lengths and a maximum aperture of F1.8. In low light conditions, its Exmor R CMOS sensor provides twice the sensitivity of conventional CMOS sensors while a 26.3mm Sony G Lens ultra-wide angle lens allows you to capture more close-up action.
Whether for journalists, documentary producers or anyone who wants to capture content in all types of conditions, the HXR-NX70 is a compact camcorder that is waterproof.
Its integrated GPS also allows you to establish your precise geographical location while its 96 Gigabytes of integrated Flash memory provides up to 40 hours of storage capacity, ideal when operating in remote locations.
However, the beefy NX70 sacrifices image quality, thanks to CinemaTone technology that delivers deep, film-like skin tones. And for precise controls it has a switchable lens ring for manual control of focus, iris and zoom.
For international recordings, it should be noted that the HXR-NX70 can record at 50p, thus facilitating the exchange of materials in various formats. You can also record still images with video using a Dual Rec function that provides complete flexibility in filming.
