The “Brodcast Yourself” phenomenon on which YouTube based its strategy is reaching heights that its founders Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim would hardly have imagined six years ago.

Now integrated into Google's orbit, YouTube has become a "content uploading" machine to the Internet. Coinciding with the sixth anniversary of the launch of the project created by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, YouTube currently uploads 48 hours of video per minute.

The “Broadcast Yourself” phenomenon is thus growing by 37 percent in the last six months and 100 percent over the past year.

Behind this increase in the number of hours are factors such as the improvement in the video upload process, the possibility of increasing their duration above the initial ten minutes and the new live streaming tools. To give an example of the frenetic activity that YouTube is experiencing, it is enough to point out that there are days in which more than 3,000 million views are recorded, which is 50 percent more than in 2010.
