Belgacom gets on the 3D bandwagon
Belgacom Tv is studying the possibility of broadcasting in stereoscopic, through its IPTV payment service, practically all of the JupiterPro League matches starting next season.
The Belgian operator Belgacom TV, in close collaboration with Samsung and Outside Broadcast, has been carrying out numerous tests of producing 3D sporting events in recent weeks. If these tests are ultimately successful, Belgacom Tv, which has exclusive rights to the JupiterPro League, could choose to offer in 3D, through its pay television service over IP, practically all of the JupiterPro League matches starting next season.
To this end, Belgacom TV has confirmed that its new series-top-boxes are now compatible with 3D.
Throughout this weekend, Kris Vervaet, vice president of marketing and channel management, and Jean-Charles De Keyser, vice president of the Integrated Media unit, met with authorities and advertisers at the Belgacom Tower in Brussels to share their experience in the field of stereoscopy.
