Envivio facilitates encoding for multiscreen connected television from Prisa Tv and Belgacom

Yomvi and TV Partout multi-screen connected TV services benefit from the latest developments in Envivio encoding.

Yomvi

Belgacom (Belgium) and Prisa TV (Spain) are benefiting from the latest encoding tools Envivio for the distribution of content on multi-screen connected television.

El servicio Partout TV de Belgacom es el servicio multipantalla del proveedor de servicios de telecomunicaciones belga que entrega más de 30 canales a sus suscriptores en teléfonos inteligentes, tabletas y ordenadores. Los espectadores pueden disfrutar de los canales con una excelente calidad HD gracias a los codificadores Envivio Muse Live and Muse On-Demand, así como disfrutar de funciones avanzadas como la grabación remota. Belgacom believes that Envivio's convergence of video processing solutions and advanced architecture allow them to scale linear and VOD services and provide more content, as well as to reach more viewers and more screens.

Yomvi

For its part, Yomvi is the connected television service of Prisa Tv launched last year. This service is available to more than two million customers in Spain, through over-the-top and Internet-connected devices (OTT). HD and SD content for the Yomvi service is compressed and streamed by Envivio encoders based on Muse software.

José Amselem, director of CASTV and communications at Prisa Tv, highlighted that "Envivio's software provides exceptional video quality while giving us the reliability and flexibility we needed for the Yomvi connected television service. Over the past year, we have improved the service to add support for additional devices, and the Envivio solution has accommodated seamless expansion."

Sarah Lum, vice president of communications and marketing at Envivio, has assured that the main Tier 1 operators in Europe such as Belgacom and Prisa TV have chosen solutions based on Envivio software for its versatility, video quality, its set of features and the reliability that they are able to offer from a single system.
